Hermitage boys cross country places first in conference

Hickory County cross country teams traveled to Humansville Saturday, Oct. 14, to compete in the Polk County League Conference Meet. The Top 15 medaled in varsity, top 10 in JV and top 10 in middle school. Top 10 in the PCL conference also received a medal and the title of All Conference. Overall, there were 58 varsity boys, 39 varsity girls, 18 junior varsity boys, 44 middle school boys, and 41 middle school girls. Schools competing in the PCL league were Hermitage, Wheatland, Humansville, Macks Creek, Dadeville, Walnut Grove, Climax Springs, and Fair Play.

Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, and Middle School Boys teams all placed first in the conference as a team. Middle school girls placed fourth overall and third place in the conference.
