Patricia “Patty” A. Powell (Lynch, Wingate, Remington) passed peacefully on September 14, 2026 at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, MO, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was born September 10, 1945 at Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Oscar and Bernadine Lynch.

Patty was a woman of deep faith.  Throughout her life’s journey, she spent several years attending Central Assembly in Independence, MO in the 70’s and 80’s, building a strong foundation in her walk with God.  She continued that walk when she moved to Hermitage, MO by faithfully attending Galmey Community Bible Church.

She was also a woman of many talents who worked a variety of unique jobs throughout her life.  She proudly served her country during a short stint as a Military Police officer (MP) in the Army National Guard.  Later, she brought her hard-work ethic to the road, working as a delivery driver for Western Blueprint and driving a school bus.  Above all, Patty was best known as an absolute Kansas City Royals fanatic.  Her passion for her team never wavered, and even in her final days, she was still cheering them on with the same dedication she had shown for decades.

Patty was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Joseph Lynch and Bernadine Boulden of Kansas City, MO as well as her biological mother, Dale Hamilton.

She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her lively spirit dearly, including her children, Gina Schroer (Daniel Schroer) and Doug Duane Wingate (Amanda Wingate); her grandchildren, Tyler David Doty (aurelie Doty), Maxwell Cosmo Wingate (Esther Wingate), and Alexis Schnittger Wingate Long (Tony Long); and her great grandchildren, Theodore Doty, Kai Wingate, and Ren Wingate.

A service to honor and celebrate Patty’s life will be held on Thursday, October 1st, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Galmey Community Bible Church, located at 21000 State Hwy 254, Wheatland, MO 65779.  A dinner for family and friends will follow the service immediately at the church.  In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting Galmey Community Bible Church with a donation in her name.  They support many missions and do it with such a small committed group of people.   Arrangements and cremation was under the direction of Hathaway-Peterman Funeral Home, Wheatland, MO.
